Energy Conservation through Smart Street Light System

Abstract

The idea of smart street light system using solar panels,various sensors andIoT is introduced in order to present an efficient street lighting system which can significantly reduce the energy consumption. Also, there is a huge reduction in natural resources for generating energy, becausethese energy-efficient technologies have taken a great importance for energy conservation, especially illumination sources thatare used on very high scale –street light is one of them. So, in order to overcome these problems, there will be an automatic switching of street lights considering the intensity of sunlight, brightness control of lights, and error reporting to electric subsections if there is any movement detected by the sensor, if there is any error, and if the sensors are not working properly.
