Abstract

Ongoing advancements in computing, communication, and mass storage technologies play a pivotal role in redefining how libraries engage with information—shaping the methods of access, retrieval, storage, manipulation, and dissemination for users. The influence of technology extends across various facets of academic library operations, notably impacting collection development strategies, library infrastructure, and collaborative initiatives. Literacy softwareAdvancements in technology are increasingly intertwined with society, with smart appliances and voice-controlled assistants exemplifying how it strives to enhance daily life. As technology transforms the way we organize our lives, it raises the question of whether it will also impact the management of libraries.
