Abstract

Happiness is a vital aspect of humanity and is highly esteemed by professionals across all age groups in the modern workplace. It is widely acknowledged that individuals are increasingly focused on achieving happiness in both personal and professional realms. Given the substantial time spent at work, it is essential to comprehend how employment and the work environment influence the happiness of individuals and communities around the globe. The quest for happiness now includes experiences in the workplace, and this paper seeks to offer an in-depth understanding of the definitions, origins, and effects of happiness at work. Utilizing insights from the growing research in positive psychology, this study explores the current landscape of knowledge on this topic. Fostering mental well-being in the workplace necessitates addressing employees’ psychological, emotional, and social health within a collaborative environment, leading to a positive mindset that empowers employees to carry out their tasks effectively. This paper mainly centers on the connections between work and employment and their effects on individual happiness, while also considering happiness-related concepts and the common factors that both contribute to and arise from happiness
